PASSION
As a busy father and husband, I know it’s difficult to make time for the ones you love. Therefore, one of my absolute favorite things to do is be out on the boat spending quality time with my close friends and family. As much as some might call fishing an obsession, I call it passion.
EXPERIENCE
I’ve spent over 20 years mastering my fishing and boating skills. As a matter of fact, thousands of hours have been invested on the rivers and bays of Oregon from Astoria to Salem, where I grew up, and everything in between.
Not only have I spent most of my life fishing, but I also have a college degree in fisheries. Post college, I have had over 15 years of career-based experience with fish culture and life cycles. As a result, this background has helped me tremendously to understand the salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon we take our guests fishing for.
In 2015 I became a professional Oregon State Marine Board licensed fishing guide and started Hazen’s Guide Service LLC because I am passionate about people and fishing.
MAKING NEW FRIENDS
I am thrilled that I get the opportunity to meet new people from all over the country and world. Families, friend groups, and colleagues travel to Tillamook, and the Oregon Coast, looking for fun things to do. Fishing the Columbia River and the Oregon Coast is definitely not to be missed!
